I used to do two things pretty well (for funsies): write alternate (hopefully funny) song lyrics, and digitally edit photos.
With the last 12 months of AI advancement, pretty much anyone can do both of those :/
Clearly, not as bad as AI taking jobs.

Great thread, I totally agree.
Some players (and GMs) aren't great improvisers so _need_ a backstory to help make character choices.
Some are great "on the fly" but even those I suggest need a few bullet points to guide their character.
The backstory should be updated with any in-game choices.
