I don't think they are bad. I live in Australia with single member districts. I think they are good. We have lots of parties - governing centre left Labor Party with lots of seats, conservative Liberal party with lots of seats, a dozen or so country National seats, a few Greens, 15 independents.

Actually your post is a bit confusing why would Nate Silver be mad you replaced them at 538 but it got shot down shortly after. If anything you should be mad at him for not being a good manager who can create a sustainable, long term business.

Nate Silver was the founder of 538. He left after Disney <$. He was replaced by G Elliott Morris and the model they used had some minor kinks that meant there was no model at a time when it would have been useful to have a model. I have not listened to podcast but assume they talk about 538.

I remember a kid at my primary school saying the podracing scene was AMAZING then when I saw I remembered thinking this is going on a while... Mr Plinkett said even if you haven't studied film theory your brain picks up on things being bad... my 11 year old brain sure did

Thank you! I HATE Matthew yglesias. He has supported every democratic candidate for President in my lifetime and voted against Trump twice. He needs to realise REAL Americans love Trump which is why he won in a landslide.

You have to remember what happened when rudd tried to not be pathetic and make billionaires pay, more tax. Gina and Clive replaced him as PM. Blame capitalists who control things not the reformist political parties.

I don't think its possible for political to do the right thing under capitalism. Kevin Rudd wanted Gina and Clive to pay more tax. But billionaires under capitalism control thing, not the PM. So they got rid of Rudd and Gillard made a new mining tax where Clive a d Gina paid nothing.

Once again this thread is about 2024 and 2025 elections very weird you are talking about 2018 midterms. I do agree though Dems should have won 2024 but they blew it by biden running again until it was obvious he was senile then run VP who refused to say anything bad an unpopular President
