All of the above.
At issue too is the availability of such “starter” houses. Here those modest little places pretty much never go up for sale, because they’ve all been turned into rental properties, & contractors don’t want to build new homes under 2k sq feet anymore.

I wanna see Abbott go to California and see how he’d be received there…. 🤣

You can’t even call it out with people because they have a million nonsensical and “oh yeah well” reasons why they’re not being sexist, no matter how clearly they are.

Yes! Thank you for posting this. I’ve tried to articulate it a few times & didn’t manage it quite right, but this is well worded.

Also avoiding the purchase of plastic, whether item or packaging, has opened my eyes to a lot of alternative/better products and most of them are small family businesses and/or local.

Try it! There are alternatives. Amazon created your habit, but it’s not hard to break with a little effort, speaking from experience. Most of the companies with anything worth buying have their own purchasing sites, for starters. Then think of how much is need vs consumption culture.

His biggest priority is the golden ballroom! Who needs healthcare? Let us eat cake.

Same here, along with not missing Walmart (which I already avoided when I could). I’ve saved money and had no problem getting things I really needed from elsewhere. When you think about it, you realize these companies create consumerism, so dropping them actually makes your life more pleasant.
