With their courage and desire for freedom, the people of the GDR brought down the Berlin Wall. The division of Germany is history. The commitment to freedom is more important today than ever. Freedom is not a given.

The first Riga Musik festival & music industry conference has begun! We were thrilled to welcome German artist Marla Moya at our Embassy today. Don’t miss her performance tomorrow on the angārs main stage! Proud to support this cultural exchange.

I am delighted that we can support a project of Latvian transatlantic organisation this year which is dedicated to promoting media literacy and combating disinformation in the regions! Very interesting grassroots approach. We wish the project a successful start and look forward to the results.
