This is a view of my house from the farthest end of our property. The creek is to the right about 50 feet from this location. You can see all the baby trees we planted two year prior just starting to pop up enough to see. This was from 2004 and you cannot see the house form this position any more.

Lower trail by the creek. This was taken in July of 2004. All of this has been washed away by the actions of the water in the creek. Since 2008 we have had many "500 year floods" and that's what took out all the trees.

Double rain bow in the morning. We usually do not get rainbows in the morning so this was special.

Tree swallow on a nesting box. Back in the day (2004) before we reforested this field, we had nesting boxes put up for blue birds and other cavity nesters. We moved the boxes to the back of the property and donated some to a local blue bird trail.

This little guy is a mink. He came to our pond in the winter of 2004 and stayed to eat all the bullfrogs. Sadly, they never recovered their former LOUD chorus. He died later the next spring and we buried him in our tree field.
