Following our walk at Dog’s Bay we stopped off for lunch at Tati’s Bake Away in the village of Roundstone, which turned out to be run by a Swiss lady who had relocated to Ireland! When she heard we were from Switzerland she gave us some Swiss chocolate! 😋 #travel #ireland 🇨🇭🇮🇪

After the rain comes the sun! We took advantage of the beautiful weather to visit Dog’s Bay in the south of Connemara, where there are white sand beaches back-to-back. There’s an Earth Cache dedicated to this geographical feature #ireland #travel #geocaching

While in #Connemara we visited Kylemore Abbey. I of course took a #photo of the modern addition instead of the older buildings. It rained nonstop, not ideal for exploring the gardens. Nevertheless we found a LAB Adventure & a nearby #geocache. Beautiful location, recommended! #travel #ireland

On a recent drive from N. Ireland to Connemara we stopped for a #geocache at the Boheh Stone in County Mayo. This stone is covered in celtic carvings, believed to have been made about 3800 BC. Now we also have a cache in Mayo, another county in the county challenge. #travel #ireland

The boardwalk of the so called “Stairway to Heaven “ walk in southern #Fermanagh #NorthernIreland. About 11km from the car park and back. At holiday times advisable to book a time slot online. We found a #geocache a few hundred metres from the viewing platform & another near the car park.

On a recent trip to N. Ireland to visit family we took a day trip to Creevy Pier & Rossnowlagh Beach in Co Donegal. Found a few geocaches near Creevy. Lunch at the Smuggler’s Creek Inn, with this view across Rossnowlagh. Recommend for food and view. #geocaching #travel #ireland

Yesterday I finished reading The Big Short by Michael Lewis. Recommended reading for all, especially if you’re interested in the financial system. Unbelievable what those bloody bankers got away with. The movie adaptation from 2015 is also great, darkly comical. #books #finance
