Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be true either. But it's as far as our current understanding goes and I believe in the spirit of the original question at least that counts as the same type of singularity. Otherwise I don't think we would even talk about it as a singularity at all.

I think the mass is in theory concentrated in a single point in the center which would give it infinite density, so yeah?
