My tablet is about 5 years old now and also was the older gen even when I bought it new, so maybe they have improved since then, though.

I have an XP Pen Artist 22 2nd Gen that’s a little old now. My singular complaint is the color accuracy is pretty off. No matter how much I adjust the tablet the colors never match my laptop so as a result I have to constantly check between my laptop and tablet which slows workflow.
