Pay attention to Chloe Yates - she’s an incredibly exciting artist and she’s going to be huge and beloved. I already think this. Come and see what I mean.

Anyway - tonight is press night so I’ll be hopefully sharing the reviews soon. But the reviews aren’t what we ultimately care about. We just want to tell this story - but sometimes reviews help you to do that.

We’re now in London. Sharing this show before touring it around the country. I cannot begin to tell you how much soul and heart and joy and warmth is in this play. It is an antidote to *waves vaguely* all of that.

ANYWAY fast forward to this year and Chloe and I are together again, making her show Spring & Other Things, which finally tells her story.

We make it at Norwich Arts Centre and everything is BEAUTIFUL.

I loved that show and we won an award from London Pub Theatres.

We didn’t sadly get offie noms because one of the assessors revealed in the bar that they didn’t like plays about mental health. Ah well.

This play was called A Rat, A Rat, and was a beautiful and absolutely wild ride about inpatient psychiatric care. The idea came from the writer having spent time on both an adolescent and adult psychiatric unit as a teenager. There’s also a giant rat hallucination and Baccara
