My heuristic for using GenAI--use it in ways that cause more thoughts to go through my head, not fewer. For example, I had Claude give me an extended tutorial on eigenvalues, a topic I had been avoiding.

The fundamental problem with tech bros is that they start from the assumption that they're smarter than everyone. Encountering a system or a practice they don't understand immediately makes them reject it rather than ask to have it explained to them by someone they despise.
We’re in for weeks of this on end. One of Musk’s tween haxx0rz stumbles into a complicated system they don’t understand, thinks they’ve discovered something earthshattering the veteran dunces never noticed, relays to Musk who also doesn’t understand, and broadcasts it to millions of followers.
