It looks like the UPS plane that crashed in Louisville may have crashed into an industrial scale petroleum recycling center. Helicopter video afterwards shows the major ground flames area starting a bit north of the facility in this area.

Closeup of the loading dock just above the explosion point I believe. Dirt displaced from loading dock berm behind concrete wall that’s still standing, and out to the southwest and west. Yellow cratering red sprayed dirt. Same Newschannel5 Nashville raw helicopter video.

Crater areas in yellow and projected dirt in red.

Previous and these helicopter video stills from Newschannel5 in Nashville.

One or two craters destroyed concrete pad and dirt visible underneath and sprayed out away from them, at southwest corner and the lower loading dock.

Southwest corner of building, up to possibly the north side of the the exterior loading area at grade level on the southwest corner.

Apparently shitposting on your projectile weapons goes back at least to ancient Greece. Two lead sling bullets with … well. Also pictured: my modern favorite. Source for the sling bullets image is Wikipedia, relayed by my wife who received it on the interwebs.

Found an interesting I think so far unreported Houthi thing. Near the port of Ras Isa there are what on first impression must be sand covered bunkers. Thousands of them on rough guesstimate.

15.219817°N 42.625206°E for some, they go in all directions.

New over ~2-3 years by historical imagery.

I’m confused by the recolonization; the ice left ~10,000 years ago, so wouldn’t surviving species move north that fast? And the ice line wasn’t that far south, only a bit down into the US overall in this last cycle. Was this talking about older cycles?

If 1,000 feet separation is actually required for an update, it looks like you can get the first 4,800 feet without additional landfill and then you start driving pilings and bringing in rock and soil.

Landfill into the river certainly is possible. Just harder than not doing landfill.

What if they added a parallel Runway 01 Right, which is long enough for landings but doesn’t require approaching over Joint Base Bollings?

What’s in the diagram is the longest safe separation runway 01 Right I could fit, 550 feet centerline to centerline and around 6,800 feet including runoff pads.

Drew this to troll the Missiles and Missile Defense class at the end of 2019, just before COVID hit.

This came out yesterday. US Army: 21 ground BCTs/Brigades, 5 aviation brigades. Termination of Stryker, … ton of other stuff for Army, Navy, lightly on USAF.

@annaleen.bsky.social perhaps a good day to receive and unbox this.

Newest Palisades fire map shows fire down into Mandeville Canyon, and the Wilshire camera looking up the canyon directly seeing fire activity for the last about hour. #Palisades

From Birdsite, report via Jurgen Nauditt that Russia is going to offer Trump a complete Ukraine surrender & partition “peace proposal”. Red = Russia, Orange = Russian Proxy, Yellow = determined by Russia “and neighboring states” Hungary Poland & Romania (not NATO, EU, or US)

The Iraqi uranium bomb (larger than a reactor grade Pu bomb) was 65 cm and proportionally lighter, North Korea’s first tested (weapons grade Plutonium) bomb was probably about 53 cm assuming it was a Disco Ball type.

When is the last time virtually all of Florida was under a hurricane?
September 27, 2024 at 2:05 AM
Current update: Hurricane Helene is Category 4 and headed perhaps a bit west of St Marks, but flooding and winds in that quadrant of the storm are the most severe. Unclear if storm surge is going to be the catastrophic 20 feet predicted earlier but not looking good.
September 26, 2024 at 10:52 PM
Models possibly trending a bit west but still predicting 20+ foot storm surge into St Marks region, possibly more as Cat 5 is now being discussed. Some extreme flooding models showing water lapping at southern end of Tallahassee…. Factory at high risk.

Yes. And flash flooding risk above 70% on top of the storm surge.

The plant office (highest and furthest part inland) is at 11 foot elevation and only 2300 meters from a sealevel river. Most of the factory is lower and closer to the river, as low as 8 feet.

The storage magazines are at 6 feet.

Apparently a Russian RS-28 Sarmat liquid fuel ICBM pulled a Damascus Titan Silo and blew up its silo and the surrounding ten thousand or so square meters of ground. Posted on Twitter by menmyrc1.
