Part of the problem of government is short term thinking. When elections are every five years, there's an obvious bias towards the immediate impact of policies, not the long term impact.
Which might be a good way of running a political campaign, but it's not a great way of running a country.

My brother has been pushing for Nunes in midfield for a while - it would be interesting to see a how midfield three of say Gundo, Nunes and Foden coped. Can only see it in home games against “lesser teams”

Despite his poor form (so far), this highlights the importance of the Gundogan signing in the summer… only real DM option available for the foreseeable, unless it’s a double pivot with Stones/Lewis stepping in.
