Not the Twin Cities suburbs. They've turned bright blue in the Trump era. (Contrasts with, e.g., Milwaukee, where some suburbs are still very red.)
MN-GOP's power base is exurbs and rural areas, where your idea of "define oppositionally" certainly applies. But MSP & suburbs outnumber them.

I hope that's true, but Minnesota Republicans' power base is entirely rural/exurban. They have no love for the Twin Cities. There are media reports (tho I haven't seen anything post-Pretti murder) that they blame Dems for the recent unpleasantness in the Cities and support ICE being here.

But far more widespread here is the huge % of the nonwhite population of Minneapolis/St. Paul who are now hiding in basements & bedrooms, terrified to emerge lest they be arrested & sent to camps.
Amsterdam has seen that before.

Good idea, but given current events it’s probably best to hold the hearings in NoVA (and working out security of witnesses and other participants with Spanberger and VA state police beforehand) rather than DC.
