Picked up The Mudflats Murder Club by Brian Thiem on a whim of cheap discounted reads. I’m halfway through it and thoroughly enjoying this detective murder mystery. #BookSky

A delightful piece of mystery, first in a series. When a newborn baby is left on the doorstep of the rectory, Clare Fergusson wants to help find the mother but when a young woman is murdered, her friendship with the chief of police pulls her down a path she might not be ready for. #BookSky 5 ⭐️

An eloquent literary critique, satirizing American society in present day. This will not be a novel for everyone, it’s very liberal so I’d recommend it for anyone who is open-minded, including disillusioned conservatives. #BookSky

I’m about halfway through this one. I’ve missed old school spy thrillers that aren’t basically revenge porn for right wingers. It’s proof that spy work is sometimes about the hard copy intelligence. #BookSky

In anticipation of the film, I dove headlong into #TheLongWalk by @stephenking.bsky.social writing as #RichardBachman.

I think the BIGGEST question, and it might have been answered, was “How did they come up with The Long Walk and why did they start it?” 4 ⭐️ #BookSky

3 friends, all writers, decided to write a novel together and head to Scotland for a research trip. I felt like this was just a fun little story that juxtaposed the authors with fictional versions of themselves. I gave this 3.5 ⭐️ #BookSky

Finished Holy City by Henry Wise. If you’re looking for a hard nosed character driven story, this is for you. It’s not written like a typical novel, I noticed that was the main “negative” review but I didn’t find that as a fault. 4 ⭐️ #BookSky

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while #BookSky! That doesn’t mean I haven’t been reading! I finished up 2 books this week. #ThisIsNotAGame and #OneDeathAtATime. Both of these were excellent mysteries featuring older women and younger Gen Z sidekicks.
