The segment that I filmed for CBC's "The Nature Of Things 101" just dropped. I guide hosts Anthony Morgan & Sarika Cullis-Suzuki through the process of how I read the sky when I'm chasing storms. I also give them a few tornado safety tips.

Proof that my storm chase crew is 100% badass. 😎 We had one shot for Jason to take this pic in front of yesterday’s gorgeous supercell - I think we did all right!

Did some filming today with one of the screen-used Jeeps from the original 1996 film “Twister”. They had a Dorothy tornado probe from the film as well!

Revisiting an old friend. Pacaya volcano in Guatemala is where I filmed a commercial back in 2016. In the process, becoming the first to ever set foot at the bottom of the main crater.

No climb to the summit this time, just a brief stay.

Fuego Volcano, Guatemala no major eruptions during my most recent visit, but it was producing quite a bit of steam & gas.

Also, some very cool lenticular clouds that kind of look like UFO's

Cartagena, Colombia.

An amazing, bustling city, and the narrow streets of the old part of town were fascinating to walk around in.

At sunset last night somewhere off the west coast of Costa Rica, I caught the elusive Green Flash as the last sliver of the sun dipped below the horizon.

Miami
In the afternoon we took the shuttle to the Bayside Market area and walked around there for a few hours. It was nice to get off the ship for a bit, and see some of the awesome birds, do a little browsing around in the shops, and soak up a bit of sunshine for the first time in days.

Last night was “Red and Gold” formal night aboard the Queen Anne. I ended up having dinner with one of the guys who helped designs the Apollo 11 astronaut’s space suit cooling systems.

Day 2 aboard the Queen Anne. We’re currently off the coast of North Carolina, heading south towards Miami. I’m still getting my bearings around the ship.

Tomorrow I’ll be giving my first talk of the trip in the Royal Court Theatre.

Check out the latest article on the Arctic Research Foundation website. I was interviewed by Melody Wren while we were travelling through the Northwest Passage this summer.
