I like people watching, good food and people who speak out about injustice. Crowdfunded #OpenJustice journalist, reporting mainly about #LearningDisability and #Autism. Also can be found with a needle, all things #sewing #quilting #knitting
Sure thing, great to see you here.

Sorry to hear that Fiona, not surprised, so much appears to be being dismantled in plain sight, but am glad he's well 👊

It was low yesterday too, but today it’s like we’re actually living in it 🫣

Yeh I’d never heard of your discipline until reading @lucygobag.bsky.social’s book, but strong parallels with how I see bereaved ppl treated when ‘systems’ fail them.
Also parallels to flawed fight/remission narratives in cancer care. So much harm from fear of nuance and messy reality/grief.

Thanks for sharing @lucygobag.bsky.social I wonder whether the discourse of recovery is about making people (possibly mostly the helpers/system/society) feel able to sweep things aside and 'move on'. Support is so often time limited to a 'process' but like any grief the reality is much more nebulous

yESSSS, always happy to talk PFDs or anything inquest related, is such a niche area and rarely get to geek out about it

Usually somewhere around the 500 mark, some years less, some more. That’s according to Chief Coroner Annual Report and/or number uploaded to judiciary website, but we know not all get uploaded. A big year this year.

HELLLLO DARLING, hope you and your darlings are all ready for the season. Your post the other day had inspired me to think about diving into the attic to try find my chimes, haven't got there yet, but may still happen.

That cabbage sounds divine, has been scribbled on the back of an envelope and may be tried over the festive period. Yum. Hope it's amazing.

Isn't it ridiculous, walked into Torbados town centre this morning and ended up with such a sweat on, only wearing a tee and a zipped hoodie. December with September temps.

Thanks for re-sharing @alexadwilson.bsky.social few things bring more joy (to my dark heart at least) than military bands breaking out into other music. This is fab.
(When my BIL's regiment got Freedom of Chepstow the band played Lady Gaga and its still my fave rendition).
