Not sure if it's autism or just fun (both?) - spent half a day with Perplexity checking codes while designing my dream British cottage remodel in Google Sheets. Reality check: family issues mean I'll never get it, and costs same as buying new.

I think I’m being dumb. I’m having unreasonable amount of difficulty importing external models to Kaggle notebooks that isn’t already hosted on Kaggle.

Come on Kaggle, why you throttling me on trying to do pip installs.

The moment you need to start saving money you gain new perspective on things. Mine: playing Minecraft with shaders is a flex

As with any tool or knowledge. Tech is just tech. It is a matter on how you use it. Atomic science can either create the most efficient, safe, and clean energy we can make with our current tech, or it can destroy the world. The same applies with everything. The choice is yours.

Normally I don't get political on the internet and I don't want to get political since my political stance is my business and it won't effect how I interact with others. However today is one of those days where you got to call out stupidity and lies no matter which side of the aisle you stand on.

When a basic Perplexity search can call BS on most statements presented as facts, imagine what actual research would uncover. Decisions should be based on accurate data, not incorrect, misconstrued, or misleading information. That path leads only to reckless policy.

JFK files show how agencies once shaped public opinion through media.
In today's world of deepfakes and borderless information flows, channel your inner Socrates—question why you believe what you believe.

Doubtful this happens. ByteDance has consistently refused to sell despite years of pressure. If anything changes, expect it to be more like Buffett's BYD stake - significant investment with minimal operational control, not an actual ownership transfer.
This dance continues...

Just got rejection letters from the SAME company:
"Too experienced for our student role—try our entry-level position!"
"Not experienced enough for entry-level—try our student roles!"
The tech job market: where Schrödinger's resume is simultaneously overqualified and underqualified 🙃

I’m old enough to remember how people described internet back in the days. AI is the same way. It can either be helpful tool or brain rot and a menace to society. We naturally are afraid of paradigm shifts and the consequences it brings. We just need to adapt.

Went to YouTube seeking explanations for Gr00t N1's codebase concepts.

Found only news reposts and creators with suspiciously similar AI-generated scripts full of "revolutionary paradigm shifts" and zero actual substance.

I don't mind AI scripts, but please write better prompts. 🙄

Started coding my planet simulator. Hit a wall with tectonics, so naturally spent 3 weeks writing 22 files of fantasy lore instead.
Now I have a complete magical evolution system but still can't model basic climatology 😅
