I'd like to advocate for doing whatever brings you joy & connection. Don't turn off the news, but don't feed it all of your energy either. Fight where you can but don't burn yourself out. Make sure you're ok first, but give where you can. Stay kind. Do what you can to bridge the divides.

I totally feel you there. Your rage is valid and absolutely justified, but we’re not gonna make it if we stoop to their level. We can’t succeed without more allies and the alienation of the rural working class by those working hardest to their benefit is exactly the playbook.
We gotta be better.

These feel like the realer battles to me.

The extra dig at the end of this post, while understandable as a way to feel, only serves the division that is what got us here in the first place.

Came here to say that about the bystander effect; for a deeper dive into that as part of the best keeping faith in humanity tool I’ve found, I recommend Humankind by Rutger Bregman

This is all outrage machine shock-and-awe scare tactic bs.

These battles matter, but I’m certain there’s deeper uglier things afoot that they don’t want their base to know about so they’re throwing this stuff out to keep everyone fighting and distracted.

Please, please stop this belittlement of clowns.
All the actual clowns I’ve met are amazing, on the right side of justice, and perhaps better equipped to get us there than any other group of people I’ve ever met.

I wish I had the cartoon skills to render the adorable robo-riot cops this makes me picture.
Maybe our robot overlords will draw it for me if I ask them?

On that note, my favorite explanation of bitcoin:
Bitcoin mining is like idling your car, and while idling your car solves Sudokus.
When you idling car solves a sudoku, you trade the solved sudoku for heroin.

That's kinda the premise of Bitcoin, right; just with a digital intermediary?
