We need our military officers to have an opportunity to develop their own understanding of the value of all people. Banning these books brings us a step closer to having officers unable to recognize an illegal order. Not that these are law books. These provide context. Context matters.

If it wasn’t for the U.S. and "Manifest Destiny” there would be a lot more Choctaw, Navajo, Hopi, Comanche, Lakota and other Native Language speakers in "America" today. There’s no need for anybody to feel guilty about it now, but we damn well need to know about it. We need to know.
