If the earnings from the land is significantly less than the perceived/ market value then there’s something wrong in the market eg a bubble. Tulips were at one point far more valuable than the should have been!

The farmers are being screwed but it’s not by IHT - that’s fair and will address the bubble - but by the rich buying up land and the supermarkets monopolistic unregulated buying power of the supermarkets!

The answer is that the extremely rich, by avoiding IHT are buying up land, and creating this farmland bubble.
