Something a bit positive (personally) with all the fires around the south land: Moon Rise this afternoon. Also, so far 54 hours without grid power (due to winds and fire), but the house battery is fully charged, and even gained some charge for the car.

Let's see if, and if it does occur, for how long this power outage lasts. Not all of their warnings come to pass, but this is one of the longer time frames they've given...

Big Bear Village on a Sunday night. 35F, but no snow due to the dry weather. Not many people on the street, they're all in the restaurants.

Southern California Edison did another Public Safety Shut Down at 7:15 this morning, with Wednesday morning as the estimated restoration time. So far, batteries are fine and the solar panels are recharging them as expected. I wonder if we still pay for the daily meter charges when they cut the power
