7/ Last but not least was Dustin Carlino, discussing the challenges of using #OpenStreetMap for pedestrian walking, specifically in cases of busy, uncrossable roads. We need correct tagging of crossings for more accurate real-life routing and planning.

6/ Next up we heard from Christine Langston about her research on housing construction and climate risk. The unfortunate conclusion is that policy seems to be disproportionally encouraging the construction of housing in high-risk areas 😟

5/ An introduction to the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and the important work they do in providing a forum for collaborative geospatial standard setting was the topic of Nigel Edmead's talk.

4/ Our third speaker was James Cheshire, author of the just released book "*The Library of Lost Maps" *about his discoveries in the UCL map library. James shared the story behind one of the maps

3/ next speaker was artist Rain Wu, sharing some of her map-related projects. This talk was a thought-provoking reflection on the different concepts a map is, and the difference between the map and reality
