Founded in 1896, the Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB) is a key geological and mineralogical research centre developing both applied and fundamental research approaches. It is also an independent, non-commercial provider of geoscientific services.
Ongoing work in the framework of the project GEO2KA (funded by a Belgium-Vietnam Research Cooperation Research Call through Belspo). Here below some outreach-communication activities with the students in a school located in Marche-en-Famenne on geohazards aspects (floods, karstic features).

📣Land Subsidence Workshop organised by LASII (UNESCO), GSEU project (EuroGeoSurveys) and hosted by the Geological Survey of Belgium (RBINS/GSB) allowed more than 60 scientists from Europe to present areas affected by geohazards. Details at: https://gsb.naturalsciences.be/land-subsidence-workshop/

A nice GSB fieldwork to collect new ore samples in the -130 m mining galery at the Vedrin mine. Big thanks to the Vivaqua miners, workers and scientists for their incredible help. 31 samples collected and potentially interesting ones with galena, sphalerite, marcassite, ... wait the analyses #CRMA
