The dark, tidal flats of Derby, AU provided the backdrop for a rare sight: a dance of red sprites. These fleeting events last for only 10 ms — up to 40x faster than an eye blink. The central sprite, aka "jellyfish" sprite, is the largest and fastest of all sprites. 📷 : JJ Rao
