Mystery solved. @lappifox.bsky.social followed the trail to Family Matters. A teleporter pad called the UrkPad (oof).

However, while we're here, it is wild that Family Matters had something called the Transformation Chamber and there was never a goofy animal TF episode. (That show got so weird by end it would have fit.)
I kinda dug the design of it as a kid. Very silly sci-fi aesthetic.

Now back from the road trip, can tell of my adventures:
- for weekend swung down to Phoenix to visit friend
- on Monday drove up to Oakman, AZ to see wild donkeys
- stopped in Las Vegas for brief interludes including a buffet
- yesterday swung back home
- and totally a raccoon and not TF'd
