The "Seneca Chief" is in the lower Mohawk watershed (NY). This 73' boat is amazing inside, and a remarkable achievement for those at the #BuffaloMaritimeMuseum . They carry important messages about our history, indigenous displacement, and invasive species in the #ErieCanal

Support efforts to restore the American Eel in the Hudson watershed. The ASMFC recognizes that the American eel population is “depleted,” and the NYS DEC designated them as “species of special concern.” in the Mohawk River, they are gone. #eel

Road salt pollution in Upstate NY has affected municipal drinking water and aquatic ecosystems. At low flow in the Mohawk River, chloride increases 40% from base flow. Chloride levels in the Scotia well field have risen by nearly 800% since 1970. #salinization
