It is a complicated area, with complex challenges, and has been for thousands of years. There is, unfortunately, never going to be a “one-size fits all” solution. I do hope they find semblance of stability, and that Syrian refugees will be able to return to a safe country and can start rebuilding.

He may still be a SA citizen (in fact if not in spirit) as a result of being born there, but he did leave when he was 17. He became a Canadian citizen through his mom, and a naturalized US citizen in 2002.
