Puck’s John Ourand says the USGA is close to renewing with Comcast/NBC/Versant at the current Fox price, the same bloated number Comcast had no interest in coming close to paying. Sounds like Netflix drove up the price after Comcast allowed bidding to hit the market.

Lots of weather to dodge today at US Open, with the strongest wind gusts as the leaders are (hopefully) finishing. An 18 mph gust at Oakmont feels like 30 between the openness and difficulty of the shots.

Final round pins for the US Open are generally the toughest on each green or are sucker-adjacent. Sadly, 2 is back left again, but 13 back right has ace potential depending on tee location angle.

The R&A has announced that The 155th Open will be played at St Andrews from July 11-18, 2027. This keeps them on the every-five-years plan but sadly will be played before 2028’s new ball goes into effect.

Sports media lost the one-of-a-kind Steve DiMeglio after a courageous battle with cancer. The pain he went through fighting the disease was horrific. Press centers won't be the same nor will Bud Light sales, but I'll be having one tonight in his honor.
