Happy 50th anniversary of this Schuyler poem, whose ending gets me every damn time!
Over a year ago, my father died of Alzheimer’s when I was in Belfast. The end of “the long goodbye,” as they call it. I started this poem on the way from Derry to Drumcliffe, to visit Yeats’ grave. Thanks to @nimrodjournal.bsky.social for putting it in such a fine issue!

@notquitehydepark.bsky.social gave a brilliant introduction for Donald Revell today. (And the impromptu interlude between Revell and Burt about WH Auden was worth the price of admission alone.) The poetry reading and talk on Enchantment were 🔥. I’m enchanted still….
