We embraced November today. Its very difficult changing the mindset to not curl up in front of the TV and get out. The contrast from summer was stark. Flooding, high river levels, wet everywhere. At the end was the reward. A couple of pints of plum pudding ale in front of a log fire.

Opened a bottle of mulled wine after a frosty walk. Heated it. Raided the spice cupboard and narrowly avoided adding "chicken seasoning" !!!!!

I deleted the BBC news app at the start of the week. I'm feeling the benefit of it. The standard of journalism ranges from puerile to tabloid to provocative. The editors have lost the run of themselves. I'm now noticing similarities of the BBC sport app. Very sad to see.

We walked the coastal path today from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay. The weather was amazing. The last 2 miles in t-shirts. It's a stunning coastline.
