Environment, climate, peacebuilding & security plus age-friendly & climate resilience in our Grey Green Alliance. Prof at Ohio University, partnering with Wilson Center, SIPRI, OSU Age-Friendly Innovation Center
Can't say how delightful it is to teach in our Sustainability, Security & Resilience Masters & Certs Program. The students are often experienced pros from around the country hungry to learn more. They teach each other (& us instructors) so much. Ryan is a shining example www.ohio.edu/news/2025/10...

Climate data show the past is no longer a good predictor when it comes to preparing for severe weather in Appalachia
Evidence suggests weather in central Appalachia is getting more severe, particularly when it comes to rainfall and the risks of flooding.

Lucky enough to meet Jane Goodall three times in very different settings. This was the first, hosting her at the Wilson Center in 2003 when she made the case to donors for meeting the diverse needs of communities sharing the same biodiverse ecosystem rather than a species specific approach.
