Needed some forced motivation to get out this morning but I'm glad we did.
All the side roads around Hayfield are seriously iced over.
Glad of our Kahtoola Exospikes, without which I doubt we'd have managed 7k run.
Dogs pleased with their Musher's Secret, which stops snow balling between their toes.

I sympathise with anyone who needed to drive this morning but it was lovely to enjoy a walk on low ground from our village.

Lovely walk this morning. Quite grey but only the very slightest drizzle. Wind has dropped considerably, so it feels warmer.

First outing on my new Sonder Signal ti mtb.
Completely different to my old 26" Whyte. Different geometry. Bigger wheels (29"). Different gears (Sram) with a single chain wheel. Much wider bars.
So it feels strange, though not unpleasant. The wheels certainly roll better over rocks.
