They already did. Two people resigned over it.

That's a really painful victory for a lot of kids, marginalized people, and government employees.

More importantly though, I think victory was forcing them to end the filibuster. The fact that there are Dems in the Senate who don't want the GOP to end the filibuster is unconscionable.

The reality is that we care more about the hostages than Trump and everyone, especially Trump, knows that.

There's pretty good data on the role homogeneity plays in willingness to have government benefits. Not sure on their current political situation.

Tbf, they also have incredibly restrictive immigration, a pretty homogeneous society, and benefit from a high natural resources to population ratio.

Entirely possible that you are correct, I'm not an expert. Just after I posted, I recognized I should have said, "some of the earliest" or "my understanding". I was specifically referring to arguments in Court about laws overruled during the Lochner era (Lochner wasn't technically a min wage case)

This is why the first minimum wage laws were instituted. It's just that minimum wage is so low now as to not matter for this purpose.

I'm often asked by people over a certain age whether my last name is spelled like Bowzer from Sha Na Na.

I might start saying yes.

Honestly I was hesitant as a non-Jew to share it with Jewish friends as I don't want to use one Jew's opinion to goysplain anti-Semitism. I think you can absolutely share it with non-Jews.

There was a great discussion on law fare this week about the horseshoe nature of anti-semitism. The enlightening part to me was about why the Israel right wing (and US backers) are more willing to tolerate blood & soil antisemitism, then "left wing" Hamas-accepting type antisemitism.

Maybe we need to expand our understanding of the media literacy problem we have.

I think more importantly the contestants all appear to behave as if they believe the decisions are fair and based on their actual bakes.

1. Of course the decision not to move the funds is evil.

2. There's 23 Billion in the pool of funding and WIC only costs $3 B a month.

3. Despite that, I'm not sure the filing is wrong on the legal argument though, I think the law empowers the President to be evil.

Korean style wings. Great flavor. Not as crisp as I would have wanted but that was a skill issue I think.

Recently used gochujang in home cooking for the first time like two months ago and in vaulted into my tier 1 condiment rankings — surpassing both ketchup and sriracha.

Important note about my bias: If I was a member of the jury I would have said as soon as we were in the juror room, "I'm only voting to acquit. There is no chance my mind can be changed."

If it continued into day 2, I would perform the Court Room scene in Good Will Hunting, at least the first part
