Since I already have Photo Mechanic I tend to scan in a working folder and then left PM ingest to the final space and handle the renames, etc

Yeah, the interface drives me nuts, but I haven't found anything that does a better job other than maybe switching to camera scanning.

Ya know, these days it might be a smart thing to take the photo of your stuff BEFORE it goes thru the x-ray -- so I don't think there should be an issue either way :-)
