I am an entomologist that teaches insect anatomy. The best way is to use a key to order: frst307.sites.olt.ubc.ca/files/2017/0.... Then go outside and find an insect that you want to identify. Try it with big insects first. If you have a magnifying glass or something then that will definitely help.
