Father, husband, and geologist. Spend way too much time thinking about sports and beer. Will argue about anything. Views are my own.
He was at Kansas when I was there and seemed like a great guy and was definitely very goofy (which was endearing). Those were good years to be there, the teams were fun but heartbreaking.

This was my question too. Because I immediately thought of the show. I don’t know what that says about me.

Lodge 49 was so good.

As a geologist seeing this post amongst the geology earthquake posts made me smile. Also, my fandom trumps my scientific knowledge so I agree with your conclusion. It was somehow Boone’s fault.

Did the same. Now want to watch episode IV. Good stuff for us middle aged guys.

I just got mine yesterday, as a birthday present. My family was confused.

I actually had that in my initial response 😂

Any time anyone mentions the Pope, this is what plays in my head, on repeat.

That was the first thing I noticed. The plant situation is also particularly upsetting.

TIL about the beertini. I’m intrigued and somewhat disturbed by the fact that I am. punchdrink.com/articles/how...
How the Beertini Became a Midwestern Staple - PUNCH

I don’t know what it is about cooking a whole chicken. I cook most dinners for my family but nothing approaches the sense of accomplishment I feel after roasting a chicken.

When I was at MOMA earlier this month I could have stayed in that room for hours. The Broadacre city and the Davidson Little Farms models were fascinating.

Several came from my class of 1990 at the private all scholarship Catholic high school I went to in NYC. Not me though, I wasn’t near as smart/accomplished as my classmates. I commuted in from Long Island though, South Shore.

That redirect is new, and I don’t love it. But I don’t know how to get commenting without going to a dedicated platform.

I have no idea how easy Patreon is to use or if it’s as problematic as Substack, but I subscribe to Mike Axisa’s newsletter there. It allows comments. The platform is a little buggy and folks complain but people are gonna grouse regardless. You could ask him about his experience using it.
