This creates what I call a 'Democracy Tax' - making it so expensive to gather signatures that only the wealthiest groups can afford to participate.

Under Senate Bill 1027, getting an initiative on the ballot in Oklahoma would require signatures from about 20 counties.

🚨 Oklahoma voters: SB 1027 contains an "emergency clause" (Section 7, page 16) that bypasses the standard 90-day waiting period AND removes your right to petition for a referendum.
