It's probably as simple as me just assuming all comics were printed with 3 or 4 primary colors and were about unnaturally buff people in spandex

Well that's too bad. I was going to try the sandman adaptation but I saw Trixie and Katya's react video and said a big loud NOPE when I saw the kitten drowning scene

And I disagree a bit with that statement. I think they were staples for people with refined taste in the art form. The black and white one was really outstanding.

I did try to get into comics and graphic novels. I really did. The only one I managed to finish was watchmen. It just isn't my medium I guess
