Recorded this after being involved in a multi car accident last week in Illinois... as a Doula I am not required to be a first responders but it only makes sense to do so when needed.

And the accident was bad.

Today has been a PR heavy day for my doula, business. When I woke up, I didn't have a press release written, then by about 10 am I was well on my way to what the final numbers were... 20 radio & tv stations contacted with a press release about doula services being covered by insurance in AR.

When I had my formal training as a doula, we did not go over anything involving setting up a display at a community event... and press releases those weren't even something that were done. My apprentice has no idea what sort of advantage she's getting lol!

I haven't been here as much as I should, & I think that the time has come that I start posting over here more... please do all the things and I promise. I will try to do the same myself.

Looks like I have lines to learn ;)

A role with an amazing ensemble...

And a wonderful remainder of winter ahead when it comes to female companionship.

We started working on this on Monday and I love our cast already.

I am still recovering from a bad chest cold, but auditions are next weekend, and when not studying the script or scrolling social media, I have been sleeping.

You can find me on lemon8 and YT as well for now.

I did over 5,000 steps yesterday. I'll drive 400 miles today.
Tomorrow I'll make up for the lack of activity today comparatively, and begin planning the greenhouses up north while missing the farm profusely.

No one told me returning to my roots as strong as I have would hurt so much to leave it.

12 months ago I had left total knee replacement. Today I am nearly 70# less and able to do so much more.

Found out last night and old friend died recently. Getting old sucks.

Spent part of today clearing the garden stakes and starting pots that never made it. While the earth here enters into a resting phase, I enter a preparer and planning phase.

Jarvis: His generals called him fascist. Joe Scarborough called him fascist, and now the fascist is in charge and it is journalism's job to cover it that way, not to back off and say okay, well that's it, we lost. Let the fascism happen. No

Someone said that instead of tweeting that we are skeeting. It’s called a skeet. “I saw that someone skeeted it on Bluesky.” We’re all skeeting here together. Nature is healing 🫶

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
