While I think there is truth to your statement, I also think the Democrats need to stop looking for a candidate that they can fall in love with.

I remember this strip. I was going through a transitional period at the time trying to look to the future with hope and optimism. It is just as relevant to me them as it is now.

I like the way Mamdani ran his campaign. He went out and not only talked to voters, but listened to them about the issues that mattered the most to them. I would like to see the Democrats as a whole do more of this.

I get what you're saying. The republican party is clearly the wrong side and the democrats spend too much time attacking each other. I am more left leaning. but the two party system clearly is not working in my opinion.

Well Jasmine Crockett has been a strong consistent voice for the opposition, but some dems and progressives are bad mouthing her now that she has announced plans to run for the senate.

Instead of dismissing Congresswoman Crockett as a "loser", maybe some of you should let the process play out and let the voters decide who should be the Democratic nominee for Senator should be during the primary. After all, that is how a democracy work, correct?

Exactly. He ran a great campaign by simply talking to the voters where they are. He doesn't allow his opponents to get him off message or set his narrative which is a problem for the democrats as a whole.

I truly believe that is the goal, which is why I am an independent. I refuse to be apart of or defend a party that I am not welcome in.

The Hyundai plant is in Southeast Georgia near Savannah. Her district is Northwest Georgia near the GA/TN border. There was a rumor that she is considering a run for governor though.

I'm no political expert, but I don't understand the logic behind this. Why are they demanding a meeting with someone who said he has no interest in working with you and is more than willing to shut down the government? Just wasting time.

All politics are local. I am no expert, but it seems that these candidates won by large margins by campaigning, knocking on doors and talking to and listening to voters about their concerns giving them a reason to cast a ballot. In other words, they did everything required to win elections.

I never said I would forgive or put any trust in him. I said I would be willing to listen to what he had to say if he decided to run, period.

I understand the concerns completely, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and listen to him make his case. He is the one of only a handful of politicians out there that speaks with any clarity and common sense.
