This looks to be a real challenge to the Theory of Mind, which I believe doesn’t begin to develop until closer to 2 years old. Precocious kid!

It's best to stop using the term ideology, thereby degrading it. This isn't that. It's intellectual bankruptcy. It's nihilism. It's power. Ultimately, it's tribalism.

That’s why people labeling them as “cowards” is a mistake. Even “personal ambition” is just too diplomatic a term for this. They are power hungry; damn the consequences. More like mafioso than someone afraid of losing their jobs.
