substantial progress on the deck of the revenge. still need some cannons (the confetti shooter is a placeholder) and i need a proper deck floor pattern but im enjoying including little specific details from the show!!!!!

(all items are subject to change as i find better stuff)
a ship deck made in animal crossing new horizons made to look like the Revenge from Our Flag Means Death. the player is dressed in a hello kitty outfit and standing in the middle of the deck by the rope ladder off the side. some notable details are orange marmalade jars, a ukulele to resemble frenchie’s lute, a fancy tea set, a slice or orange cake, a watermelon.

“Think Mary will go for it?” Ed asks while they park the car. “With any luck, she won’t know at all,” Stede says. “I don’t make a habit of involving my wife in work things.” “When’s her art show, by the way?” “It’s—” Stede cuts himself off, whipping his head around to glare at him. “I’m not telling you that!” Ed pouts as he gets out of the car, balancing their tray of coffees more gracefully than Stede could ever hope to. He closes the door by hip-checking it. “Just thought it might be fun, is all. Haven’t been to an art show in ages—” “And for good reason!” Stede locks the car, shouldering his work bag, huffing as he rounds the car to catch up with Ed. “I’m not letting an art forger near my wife’s work.” “Aw, c’mon, you know I wouldn’t.” He sounds so genuine Stede is inclined to believe him. Still, Lucius’s words from last week echo in his head. He’s not just an art thief. He’s a con man. He knows how to make people like him. Maybe that’s true, but surely Stede isn’t that gullible. He knows Ed Teach like the back of his hand—or at least he knows Blackbeard, but knowing the real Ed feels within his reach. As long as he doesn’t fuck it up too spectacularly.

It all started with a Pup Cup. Two Pup Cups, actually. None of this would’ve happened if it weren’t for Fang and his pampered little puppies. It figured that the one time Ed pulled himself out of bed to hang out with Fang in a feeble attempt to salvage one of his last friendships still hanging on by a thread, he would end up meeting the most bizarre and fascinating person in the whole world.

Anne scoffs at him. “Nosey, nosey,” she says, tutting as she brushes past him toward the counter. “Were you eavesdropping on me?” “I didn’t hear a thing,” Ed says truthfully. He leans over the counter from the customer side, lowering his voice. “Just be careful, Annie. Don’t want to end up like me, do you?” “Don’t know what you’re talking about,” she says, tapping him on the nose. “I’m an innocent little flower.” Now it’s Ed’s turn to scoff. “Innocent? I heard you and Mary last night, you know, the walls upstairs are thinner than you think.” “I’m well aware, darling.” Anne winks at him. “Now be a dear and watch the shop for me, will you? I have to pop upstairs to see the wife.”
