twice a month, the neighborhood, monitored by the nypd and with ample opportunities to buy fried food, strolls. I thought I was too integrated but suddenly this is giving me culture shock. do they know they can just take a walk every evening?

update: we are now left alone in the room. Will she talk to me? Like the man years ago who found me reading DRITA and came out as Albanian, living on staten island ofc, and at the library every day working on the ULTIMATE HISTORY of Albania. my anxiety is rising and my headphones are staying in!!

I thought this lady in the research room was staring at me cause these titles are eye catching, but after I while I looked at *her* books and one is a Fjalor Shqip-Anglisht and the other is "Vena degli Albanesi nella Calabria del Regno di Napoli"- what are the chances& can't the diaspora let me be
