Follows the hyperbolic, globetrotting escapades of the titular baron, and one of Terry Gilliam's trifecta of quirky fantasy films during the 80s alongside Time Bandits and Brazil. Beautifully crafted costumes and sets, and quite witty as well.

A private investigator tracks down a missing woman and stumbles upon a mysterious commune in the woods named Pastoral. Very tense, slow burn mystery with an incredible atmosphere. Requires some suspension of disbelief but the twists and turns are great.

Absolutely terrifying, glad I finally got around to this one. It's so intensely disorienting and the way it plays with your sense of time is very well done, constantly making you question what is and isn't real.

A newspaper reporter ends up with next day's paper and the problems that come with it. Very fun watch and the pacing was good. Despite being more of a fantasy comedy the plot would not have felt out of place as a Twilight Zone episode.

A journalist commissions an organization of assassins to assassinate their own chairman, antics ensue. Decently fun little romp but so much more could have been done with the premise.

I started this a few years ago but couldn't finish it. Now I finally did and it was 100% worth it. Utterly miserable and oppressive but a true masterclass in acting, writing and sound design. So much dread, but I loved it. The demonology it explores is also fascinating.

Reminded me a lot of Gregory Alan Isakov's work. Very heartfelt and wistful with a touch of existentialism. Love how Talking Cat Blues comes out of nowhere with a jaunty satire but it works oh so well.
