conference heavy summer here 🌴☀️ - had some lovely, interesting and inspiring days at #GRC #Movement #Ecology here in California. thanks for the invitation, it was really cool to mingle, make new friends & meet old ones - now very keen to munch on some of the ideas this has sparked for our own work.

#mountains ⛰️are just my happy place. four days of #trailrunning in paradise – total of 67 km including 4.763 hight meters, good challenge for my lowland legs 🏃‍♀️, pure bliss for mind, heart and soul🦄. the most relaxing environment and the place where I can let go of all else and recharge.

thanks a lot to all who attended, and made it such a wonderful event - full of cool science, great talks & posters, thought provoking discussions, lovely chats with wonderful peope, beautiful and very hot venue ☀️

spring has sprung and the #dreamteam is out in the forest. first #geolocator robins have been spotted and data already secured - such exciting times. we use #lotek radiotelemetry and light and pressure loggers to understand partial #migration in a European #robin population in Northern Germany.

very quick but beautiful trip to Helgoland. unfortunately most time had to be spent inside in rather dry admin stuff, but at least some fresh air and strolls were squeezed into any windows that opened. thanks for that! @ifv-whv.bsky.social

ast week my office turned into a #podcast studio and six enthusiastic kids took over. they interviewed experts on various migratory birds, quizzed themselves and asked curious questions on anything and everything. it was so much fun and I am excited to listen in on what they had to say.
