I deleted my Twitter the day it was announced that Elon Musk's acquisition bid got accepted.

I'm actually kinda surprised people lasted as long as they did, but then again, I had very little keeping me on Twitter.
Facebook is unfortunately a completely different story...

Nothing like preventing bias by moving it to the opposite side of the spectrum.
He's basically saying that "progressive = biased" and "conservative = unbiased", which in itself is bias.
Combined with the new "safety policy" that specifically excluded LGBTQ makes his personal alignment very clear.

But what about "keeping the American economy in America, support American production and business"?!

This same person is now saying that caps should have "made in Canada" instead of "made in China" on it, when I thought he was preaching for "made in USA".

This man has 0 logic or reason.

And I definitely learned, which is why I think people like Hitler, Trump and Putin need to be kept in check and away from any political positions.

The reason Trump is getting away with it is due to mass bribery of people in power + the opposition being too scared.

I think not a single person I know still uses that. Facebook is all about keeping connected to my international friends, networks and social groups. If it wasn't for that I would have deleted my Facebook a long time ago. It sucks that I would lose that entire network if I deleted it right now.

It's the same way conservative hospitals have a charter that says "we do not discriminate based on skin color, religion, sex, disability" and specifically leaving out sexual orientation and often they indeed do refuse treatment for LGBTQ folks.

It's actually kinda disheartening and alarming that the administration behind something as big as Meta thinks like this.

It's basically signaling that the people behind this agree that queer and trans people are mentally ill, etc. because otherwise you wouldn't single them out for that policy.

It is worse, because it shows the very specific political/social stance of the person in charge of that decision.

You wouldn't do something like this unless you yourself also think that queer and trans people are mentally ill and whatever else.

God I wish we had a good alternative to Facebook...

"Doesn't condone their crimes"
The irony:
1: you just admitted yourself they're crimes, so they should deal with the consequences.
2: pardoning does send a signal that you can do something as heinous as this and get away with it, which is by definition condoning it.
