Student Aid is the single most important way to ensure poor kids have the opportunity to make their way out of poverty. College graduates with a BA make $2.8 million more than non-grads over their lifetime. These cuts will also affect trade schools as they allow students to apply for federal aid.

Who gets SNAP benefits? Family of 4 making under $41,795, the median family income in Mississippi for example is $54,915.That average family is only a couple missed checks away (due to sickness, lay offs, unexpected hospital stay) from needing SNAP. Making billionaires richer doesn’t fix that.
