In spite of our dismal excuse for winter rain this year the prickly pear has managed to produce some blooms. The pads are looking pretty shriveled though.

A rare Christmas Eve sighting from nine years ago
I intended to photograph the moon, but it was almost completely blocked by clouds. However I caught something even more amazing. Zoom in on a good monitor to see it.
