Trying to make sense of the world. Here for my daily OSINT fix.
Is the Thetis cable still intact?

Oh! I saw faint watermarks with barely visible text-like forms and thought it might be AI generated just to head-trip everyone...

Looks like AI to me or you postprocessed it somehow?

Different metric, because the system is different.

Finnish reservists do refresher training semi-unregularily, up to almost pension age. Some refresh more than others.

In Finland one won't be discharged from military duty at 30 years of age, one stays at the reserves quite long.

Yes... If the information is truly confidential, why is it on ANY Internet-connected computers?

Was the data even encrypted at rest?

I guess the answers are "umm" and "no".

The electrical companies should use their obscene "transfer fees" and fund a separate, closed network for themselves.

The old meme of "always has been" really applies here. Prepping for war since WWII because of the dear neighbour.

First one needs to have the raw rare earths before processing them. Does this mean US will ship rare earths to Europe for processing?

My point is that Russian MoD claiming anything at all usually has a near-zero informational value because they output so much bullshit as part of their standard operation.

As a datapoint it can be useful, if other uncorrelated sources agree with the Russian MoD.

Russian MoD tends to claim all sorts of things.

Russian soldiers go in, set up a flag, take pictures and often get blown up. The picture gets used by Russian MoD and others to make claims of capturing new areas.

Regardless what the situation is, source critique is useful. That is my point.
