So now, I move on. Another company, another chance to optimize, automate, and overpromise. Because in the end, design isn’t about getting it right—it’s about looking like you did.

Users are complaining about the ‘frictionless experiences’ I designed. Engineers are also complaining about the code I generated. The real problem is the product complexity.
I’m recommending a redesign. But a redesign is too expensive.
